Does anyone know how to change from NAT type 3 to NAT type 2 on the PS3? Tried port forwarding and enabling DMZ but it doesn't work.

should work.
make sure you get your DMZ right (got the right IP address?). Also you don't need to port forward if you're enabling DMZ.

Have you tried turning on Upnp (I think it's called that), and you can also reset your router to default settings

nah disable UPnP or it'll try and find a random IP eveytime.
Make one up (one that is within your range) - this will be your static IP.
make sure you get the IP, all the DNS numbers/subnet mask & shit into your PS3 right.
