Isn't he of French Nationality as well?
Easy mistake to make, spent most of his career in France.

I checked. Born in Benin, played for Benin.
Maybe these guys should do some research considering the money they are paid.

Should make flares legal in this country again. A lot of away followings use them anyway.

it was an easy mistake to make, when i watch man city and constantly i am told that david villa is on the ball and "great play by david villa".
plus there are many african players who chose french nationality such as mandanda. and Sessegnon the name sounds quite french.

What are you talking about? I'm sure no commentator constantly says that.
It's an easy decision to make if you don't do research. If you are gonna commentate on a football game then you should be researching players, form, history etc.
That's why the podcast on here fails so much, rarely do people actually do a bit of research of write notes beforehand so they know what to say on a subject instead of saying err err err i think err err err

If it was an accident then he would have corrected himself, but he didn't.

Would've thought it's more to do with there being so many French born players with African origin....and to make it even more confusing lots of them choose to play for their African countries rather than France (probably because they can't get picked...) so I can understand why someone would guess that Sessegnon is French..especially with his name...even though Benin speak French.
