Nope, don't think Newcastle are better than either of them atm but not far off.

No i dont think they are. But they deserve lots of credit for what they have achieved this season and even if they finish 7th that would be a top class season for Newcastle and im not ruling them out of finishing higher. They are right in the mix for the top 4 or 5 and deserve to be.

They're not too far off of both of them. I think that they lack depth when compared to Liverpool and Arsenal, but if they can keep their first team fit then there's no reason why they can't fight for a top 6 spot to the wire.

People say Newcastle lack depth but look at what they've had to cope with.
Taylor out for the season.
Collocini was out for a while.
Lost their top goalscorer for ACon as well as Tiote.
Ben Arfa wasn't fit at the start of the season.
Cabaye is now out for 3 matches.
Liverpool have lost Suarez for 8 games and Gerrard wasn't fit at the start of the season. Who else?
Newcastle have coped way better despite having far bigger losses.

I forgot about Lucas, still that's only 1 extra player.
Lucas and Taylor out for the season.
Suarez misses 8 games, Ba and Tiote away at AFCoN
Gerrard misses start of season, so did Ben Arfa
Newcastle still had to cope Collocini, Cabaye being absent. Along with Barton being sold behind the managers back and their new striker missing the first month.

Newcastle are only doing so well because they are competing in far fewer competition than Arsenal definitely, they don't get as much fatigue accumulating, much sharper on the day.

Sigh, here you have it in easy language for the Geordies: no CL footie, no Carling Cup and no FA Cup = less games = less fatigue/injuriesBig_Lad_Pardew wrote:What? The Bat-Man wrote:Newcastle are only doing so well because they are competing in far fewer competition than Arsenal definitely, they don't get as much fatigue accumulating, much sharper on the day.

Aye... But you have a significantly bigger squad. That isnt really an excuse for liverpool, nor your recent form. Poor.Gegilworld93 wrote:Sigh, here you have it in easy language for the Geordies: no CL footie, no Carling Cup and no FA Cup = less games = less fatigue/injuriesBig_Lad_Pardew wrote:
