    He's quality. Haven't seen much of him of late, but I've read that he's been one of the best performers in the Spanish League this season. Is he one of the best in the world? I probably need to watch more of him to tell, but I would think that he'll surely reach that level if he maintains this form for a couple of seasons.

    One of the best in the world ? That's a pretty strange question. What do you define as being one of the best in the world ?
    I've only watched him on youtube so I can't really judge him.

    I haven't seen him play, but I doubt he is in the same rank as Pique, Kompany, Puyol, etc.

    How many would be catagorized under "the best in the world"?

    I think he's a good centraback, who is getting better and better, but to rank him along side the likes of Vidic, Thiago Silva, Chiellini, Pique, Puyol, Kompany and Hummels, just to mention a few, doesn't sit right.

    Very good defender? Yes.

    One of the world's best? No, but he can be.

    Tackling? Good, commiting a bit too many fouls though.

    Reading of the game? Very good, always knows what will happen.

    Pace? Pretty decent for a big guy like him, also very agile.

    Passing? Great for a centre back, both long and short. Also a decent dribbler.

    yeah just a bit, he was at fault for Messi's equalizer and was shaky throughout the match. When Xavi scored he did poorly as well, from one of the world's best you'd expect something else.
