It looks like Modric stamps on his balls.Ramalalaharivololona wrote:kyro7 wrote:
The best thing about that is Modric, hobbling around like a little old lady.

Why was Parker lying down in the first place? Ridiculous thing to do during a game of football.

Now all we need is for 'Arry to be sent down..

To be fair, he could have flung his foot like that in order to try to keep his balance.

What an amazing second half.Am I the only Arsenal fan that felt a pinch of happiness when Nasri scored?
Fantastic goal by Gareth Bale I must say.
Great game.. or should I say half.

Yeah, just saw it. Can't disagree with the sending off now.

He made a block on Balotelli's shot with a slide, I believe.Cadbury wrote:kyro7 wrote:

If Bale didn't fuck up.

Balotelli being interviewed

They should have asked him about the stamp.

I don't think even Balotelli can defy the laws of physics. Hard to control your body after a shot.
Who's the other one?
The first strike from Balo was an accident, the second was on purpose.
And Lescott elbowing Kaboul.

Football is so crazy.. Bale play that ball SLIGHTLY softer, it's 3-2 to Spurs and probably a win for them, then they lose, crazy.. I usually cover up my disappointment but to see that penalty given I just sank into my chair, gutted.

Thats what I thought at first, but he doesnt really plant his foot on the ground, he like stabs at Parker with the bottom of his boot, that wouldnt help you keep your balance.

The biggest shame was that it would've blown the title race wide open if Spurs won....so close....but now they have a mountain to climb. Spurs are still in it though..

What a touch from Balotellu to set up the penalty

Looks like it wasn't a stamp, it was him trying to regain balance.

I can't believe that any player would intentionally stamp on another man's head wearing boots.

Naturally he would have put his foot in front of him to regain balance, and it just looks like he kicked out at him. I think it was intentional stamping.

Not necessarily. Depends on the angle of his body and where he's moving though. Looks like a stamp tbh.

I'm proud of us even after that defeat. We came so close to turning a 2-0 deficit round. Balotelli could have been sent off, but no arguments from me about the penalty. As much as I hate him, I haven't seen that much coolness from a taker since Berbatov in the carling cup final v Chelsea. That 2nd half showed we can come back and match the best when we turn it on.
We were never going to realistically win the league were we? so to even be mentioned come near the end of January is great. Time now to focus on consolidating 3rd place and that automatic place in the champions league group stages. 3rd place finish would still be an amazing season for us.

Ade raked his boot down RvP's face in 'that' game

Plus you see him diving afterwards, obviously trying to cover it up.

No, he wouldn't. His body was swinging forward and he would have fallen on his face. He needed to swing his foot backwards in order to restore balance.
