I'm getting Top Spin 4 and then making a Julia Görges player for my career and then I will win every single title possible
Why didn't you just go to a shop and buy it?

Calm down, you should be outraged at the guy who you encountered on Xbox, who then mentioned your name on a forum full of people

Fantastic. I gained so much respect for Streep after that film. An acting masterclass.BladeGunner wrote:InGlennyWeTrust wrote:Just watched The Iron Lady. What a fantastic leader Margaret Thatcher was.
Is the film any good? Please be serious.

They depicted Thatcher as very delusional, which is not quite accurate. But it was fantastic.
There is some symbolism at the end that suggests that her old way of life dies, but she does not "physically" die.Eternal Witcher wrote:InGlennyWeTrust wrote:Fantastic. I gained so much respect for Streep after that film. An acting masterclass.

Does she die? I hope so. Excellent wretch! Perdition catch my soul.

Thatcher was a very very lucky politician, the Falklands War and Michael Foot's insane leadership of the Labour party were godsends to her. Personally I don't think she went anywhere near far enough when it came to the Falkland Islands though, the correct response to an invasion of your territory is a full scale nuclear attack. All that war did was show that we would never use our nuclear deterrent, even if our territory is conquered by a foreign power.InGlennyWeTrust wrote:Just watched The Iron Lady. I have not watched many Meryl Streep films.BladeGunner wrote:InGlennyWeTrust wrote:Fantastic. I gained so much respect for Streep after that film. An acting masterclass.

You only now gained much respect for Meryl Streep after seeing The Iron Lady? Have you not seen any of her previous works? Honestly, if you'd watched any of them then you would have known how immensely talented she is.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'll see it over the weekend. I hope it's as good as you say it is.
The very fact that she went through with the war, as opposed to bottling it under American pressure, speaks volumes.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Thatcher was a very very lucky politician, the Falklands War and Michael Foot's insane leadership of the Labour party were godsends to her. She never caved in to terroristic pressure.ResurrectionRooney wrote:InGlennyWeTrust wrote:The very fact that she went through with the war, as opposed to bottling it under American pressure, speaks volumes.
Thatcher
There was no American pressure, that is a fabrication invented by the film-makers. A conventional attack could never have gone ahead without the USA's tacit approval.
