Seems like a safe bet until Murphy's law strikes and City getting pumped because Sammon scored a hatrick.

I'm hoping for a draw at least, or a Wigan win.

I don't see the point in putting on a huge bet. Surely the odds are rather low?Ed wrote:this man is very intelligent. I wouldn't disagree with him...

bet enough and the money you get back will be worth it but it is always risky putting so much money on the line but wigan drawing or beating city is like almost impossible.

If you bet $10,000 on 1/1 odds of a City win, and they win, then you double your money. So you turn $10,000 into $20,000. Surely that sounds good?

I shall be a City supporter tonight due to last man standing in my college. City should have enough to beat Wigan, I'll go 2-1 City.

When there's money on the line (80 pound for winning) I have to do what it takes. Plus, the majority picked Spurs so if City win I'm in with a good chance.drivescore wrote:jonnyc23 wrote:I shall be a City supporter tonight due to last man standing in my college. City to win, and ive read that Silva is fit and if he plays that should make a big difference.69 fantasy football points and counting if Silva plays.

Good Silva fit for tonight and next week against Spurs, and then rest him for the Liverpool v City game in the League cup.

I can see Wigan stifling City tonight, only because they're at home and do well at home against the big sides. 1-1. Hoping for a Wigan win though.

Would love Wigan to knick anything tonight, but there's more chance of me getting an A on my exam tomorrow than City dropping points.
Routine City win, 3 points clear again.

The odds aren't 1/1 though.
They're 4/11.....which to be fair is quite good odds considering that it's Wigan.
Bet £11...get £4 + your £11 stake.

The fuck?
The lower the odds, the more you have to bet to get a decent return.

Yeah I figured the odds weren't as generous. I was just trying to give him an easy example to understand, since it seemed that he didn't quite get it.
