Head-to-head
Watford are five games unbeaten versus the Royals.
Reading's 4-0 home win in January 2001 is their only victory in the last 11 attempts against the Hornets.
Seven of the last 11 matches between the two clubs have been drawn.
Watford
The Hornets' 2-0 defeat at Portsmouth on 2 January ended an eight-match unbeaten run.
Sean Dyche's men have not suffered back-to-back league defeats since mid-October.
Watford have drawn a league-high nine matches - equal with Cardiff and Middlesbrough.
The Hornets have failed to score in 11 league matches - only Nottingham Forest (12) and Millwall (13) have scored in fewer.
Reading
Brian McDermott's side have lost two of their last three away matches.
Reading have conceded 12 goals in 12 away Championship fixtures - only West Ham (11) have let in less.
The Royals have dropped a mere two points from winning positions this season.
If selected, Jobi McAnuff will be playing in his 100th league match for Reading.
We have already played Reading at the Madejski....it was a fairly comfortable 2-0 victory for us, but back then they were in poor form right near the bottom of the table.
Likely lineups:
Watford-
GK - Bond (Loach still serving ban for red card)
DR - Doyley
DC - Mariappa
DC - Nosworthy
DL - Dickinson
MR - Yeates
MC - Hogg
MC - Eustace
ML - Forsyth
ST - Sordell
ST - Deeney
Reading-
GK - Federici
DR - Cummings
DC - Pearce
DC - Gorkks
DL - Harte
MR - Kebe
MC - Karacan
MC - Leigertwood
ML - McAnuff
ST - Hunt
ST - Church
My prediction - 2-1 Watford. We have been on a fairly decent run of form which has only been tainted by our own ridiculous goalkeeper errors/owngoals. 18 year old Bond is in goal......he is meant to quite good.
