Didn't Giggs win the player of the year when he'd only played about twice?

Won it in 08/09 didn't he? He'd missed 10 league games, played 47 games overall.Zzonked wrote:Didn't Giggs win the player of the year when he'd only played about twice?

Re: Predict the PFA Team of the Year
Vidic has barely even played and besides in the few games he has played there have been other centre backs that have played just as good, even better than him.

Vidic was absolutely superb in the games he played.Jorlung wrote:Vidic has barely even played and besides in the few games he has played there have been other centre backs that have played just as good, even better than him.

Re: Predict the PFA Team of the Year
Not saying he didn't play well, but it's not like he was playing god-like in those 5 or 6 games enough to award him into the toty, whereas other centre backs have been playing the entire season at almost the same level.

Have a sneaky feeling Evra will get some sort of award or place in the team this year. Sympathy vote and all that.

He has 13 league goals.... He hasnt been better than ba. Or even aguero for that matter, you just have an inherent bias.Danny wrote:Here we go.Big_Lad_Pardew wrote:

Re: Predict the PFA Team of the Year
I think predicting Rooney for the team isn't that far fetched. He's been decent and he's got the English factor behind him, which as we've seen in the past seems to influence it a lot.

There has not been a single non Manure fan who has chosen rooney. Case closed.

Re: Predict the PFA Team of the Year
The PFA awards are ridiculously biased towards British players, there's bound to be at least 3 in there, probably Rooney, Jones and Bale.

I did the opposite, except for Colo. I bet he'll get overlooked, but I think he deserves it.

Gerrard should have won it that year Shame that everyone decided that it would be the 'lifetime achievement' award this year.
