    5. NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0-0 Swansea City - Play Off Semi Final 1st Leg

One of the worst results of 2011 in my opinion, despite us not actually losing. We missed a great opportunity here to get to the Play Off final after Swansea were reduced to 10 men after only 30 seconds. This game unfortunately probably cost Billy Davies his job.

    4. Leeds 4-1 NOTTINGHAM FOREST - League Game

Horrible result away at Leeds in a game that was completely ruined by the referee. Cohen sent off for the one of the greatest tackles football has ever seen. But not to worry about this bad result too much, we got the last laugh by finishing 6th and Leeds finished 7th.

    3. Burnley 5-1 NOTTINGHAM FOREST - League Game

I do like football. But Burnley? Burnley can fuck off.

    2. NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0-4 Leeds - League Game

Another shit game against Leeds. We stepped aside and let them have their night for fucking Gary Speed.

    1. NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1-2 Derby - League Game

1-0 up after 1 minute with Derby down to 10 men. Say no more.

    Best

    5. NOTTINGHAM FOREST 5-1 Scunthorpe - League Game

Very enjoyable game to watch, nice and easy for once and we actually scored some goals. Also sent them down with this game, and secured our Play Off spot.

    4. NOTTINGHAM FOREST 2-1 Portsmouth - League Game

With 1 minute to go, and Portsmouth winning 1-0, it looked like our unbeaten at home record would end. But an 89th minute equaliser, and then a 95th minute winner sent our fans crazy!

    3. Bristol City 2-3 NOTTINGHAM FOREST - League Game

Good away win near the end of the season that saw us back into the Play Off picture after a bad run of form

    2. NOTTINGHAM FOREST 3-2 Leicester - League Game

Chris Weale howler allowed McKenna's soft volley to roll into the net for a later winner! Good to get one over Leicester and their team of rejects (mostly loan signings at the time)

    1. Derby 0-1 NOTTINGHAM FOREST - League Game

First ever win at Prideless Park and we did the double over the Sheepshaggers. Has to be Number 1!

Five times in 2011 when we get spanked 5-1 or 6-1.

    Best:
When we spank someone 4-1 or 4-0.

    Worst

    1) Champions League Final
Ferguson goes into this game with a plan supposedly, having watched the 2009 edition religiously, and ascertained all of Barcelona's weaknesses.
Turns out his masterplan is to use the same tactics as two years ago, only with worse players in virtually every position. Extremely disappointing. Made worse by the fact it was Scholes and van der Sar's final games at the club.
Did include one of the most joyous moments as a United fan of the last 5 or 6 years though.

    2) Manchester United 1-6 Manchester City
    No explanation needed really

    3) Basel 2-1 Manchester United
Pathetic performance to cap off a pathetic run of 7 games in the CL.

    4) Liverpool 3-1 Manchester United
Severely depleted United get rinsed by that devious cheating bastard Luis Suarez, and Dirk Kuyt scores a hattrick from a grand total of about 6 yards. Kenny hailed as a tactical genius and Suarez rated above Messi all thanks to this game really.

    5) Manchester City 1-0 Manchester United, FA Cup Semi Final
That massive turning point that every derby had been built up to be since late 2008, this was it

    Best

    5) Chelsea 0-1 Manchester United
The moment I thought I would never see again - Manchester United winning at Stamford Bridge.

    4) Manchester United 8-2 Arsenal
Utter farce of a game, brilliantly entertaining, even if the meaning of it was massively overplayed

    3) West Ham United 2-4 Manchester United
    Stunning comeback

    2) Manchester United 2-1 Chelsea
Game that secured a place in the Champions League Final

    1) Manchester United 2-1 Chelsea
Game that secured the 19th title in all reality

    Worst:
    5. Celtic 0-1 St. Johnstone - embarassing, especially at home
    4. 2-1, 1-3, 4-2 vs Rangers - each OF loss is just as bad
    3. FC Braga 3-0 Celtic - knocked out of Champions League
    2. FC Utrecht 4-0 Celtic - cried at this one; meant we weren't in Europe properly that season
    1. Inverness 3-2 Celtic - lost us the league

    Best:
    5. Celtic 9-0 Aberdeen - record win in the SPL
    4. Rangers 2-2 Celtic - 2-1 down with 10 men in the cup, then Scott Brown scored and rubbed it in Diouf's face; we won the replay and went on to win the cup
    3. Rangers 0-2 Celtic - great away win
    2. Celtic 1-0 Rangers - going top after being 15 pts behind
    1. Celtic 3-0 Rangers - just smashed them

    Worst:

    5. Fulham 1 Newcastle 0

Came at a time where we sold Carroll, and our main striker Shola got injured. Expected us to go down.

    4. Norwich 4 Newcastle 2

    Perch. Sigh.

    3. Newcastle 0 Chelsea 3

Lost out 2 CB's, thats the worst part of it.

    2.. Stoke 4 Newcastle 0

Only bright moment was Shane Fergusons trickery.

    1. Stevenage 3 Newcastle 1

Shit, that best describes our performance

    Best.

    5. Chelsea 2 Newcastle 2

Meant nothing in the end, but loved our spirit in that game

    4. Newcastle 5 West Ham 0

Best <3 Oh I miss him doing something.

    3. Newcastle 4 Wolves 1

Terrible form heading into it, felt that ensured our safety.

    2. Sunderland 0 Newcastle 1

    Speaks for itself

    1. Newcastle 4 Arsenal 4

Never gone from feeling that shitty to having that buzzing feeling for a sustained period of time. Was great all round.

    Best:
    1. Arsenal 2-1 Barcelona (UEFA Champions League) - Great performance against the best team in the world. First English side to beat Guardiola's Barcelona.
    2. Arsenal 5-3 Chelsea (Barclays Premier League) - Excellent attacking performance from the team and from van Persie. Showed how much we'd come around since the shocking early season form.
    3. Udinese 1-2 Arsenal (UEFA Champions League) - Such a crucial victory. With a slender lead from the first leg, everything was still to play for in Italy. We showed that we still belong in Europe's biggest club competition.
    4. Marseille 0-1 Arsenal (UEFA Champions League) - Fantastic defensive performance with such a crucial late goal by Ramsey. Turned the tide in our favour and we subsequently qualified top of our group.
    5. Arsenal 1-0 Manchester United (Barclays Premier League) - Good performance against the champions. It was wonderful to see excellent performances from Wilshere and Ramsey against such a top side.

    Worst:
    1. Manchester United 8-2 Arsenal (Barclays Premier League) - Abysmal performance. So gutless and pathetic. Most humiliating loss for me as an Arsenal fan.
    2. Arsenal 1-2 Birmingham (Carling Cup) - Terrible. Proved to be so costly too as our season went down the drain after it.
    3. Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal (Barclays Premier League) - Worst performance in a half ever? I honestly didn't think it was possible to still draw after finishing the first half four goals to the good.
    4. Barcelona 3-1 Arsenal (UEFA Champions League) - Not one single shot on target. Tells you all you need to know really.
    5. Tottenham 2-1 Arsenal (Barclays Premier League) - Always disappointing to lose in the derby. The fact that the goal came quite late and from distance made it hurt even more.

Arsenal had no shots whatsoever (apart from van Rapist's), and that is a phenomenal shots to goals ratio.

    BEST
    1. PNE 2-1 Swansea - Believed we could stay up after that, Hume scored a fantastic solo goal
    2. PNE 3-1 Sheffield United (Championship) - Another game where we believed we could fight to stay up, Treacy scored two crackers
    3. MK Dons 0-1 PNE - Live on SKY and given us a lot of confidence
    4. Chesterfield 0-2 PNE - First win of the League One season which set us on a 7 game winning streak
    5. PNE 2-0 Notts County - Purely because of Iain Turner's goal from his own penalty area
Special mention to Forest 2-2 PNE, when we scored a 96th minute equaslier.

    WORST
    1. PNE 0-1 Cardiff City - Relegated us
    2. Millwall 4-0 PNE - Humiliated on SKY and was the final nail in the coffin before being relegated v Cardiff
    3. Bury 1-0 PNE - When Phil Brown should've gone
    4. PNE 0-0 Stevenage - Shocking display which signalled the end for Phil Brown
    5. PNE 2-4 Colchester - First game of League One and it was depressing

Special mention to PNE 1-3 Bournemouth where we fucked up a 1-0 lead to lose 3-1.

    4-1 Parma (Home) FML...
3-0 Napoli (Away) FML to the tenth power. The likes of Armand Traore, Bonucci (he was terrible last season), and Grygera in the back-line, with Storari in goal...Nuff' said.
1-0 Parma (Home) Giovinco (our own player) burying us.
    1-1 Lech Poznan
0-0 Udinese (Away) One of the worst Juve matches of the 2011/12 season. Simply put, it was painful to watch.

    Best
1-0 Inter (Home) One of the few positives of the second half of the 2010/11 season.
The following matches are from the current season:
4-1 Parma (Home) Kicking off the new campaign on a positive note in the new stadium was special.
2-1 Inter (Away) Solidified our status as a serious Top 3 contender by winning this tight Derby d'Italia match. It's unfortunate that certain Inter fans held up a banner mocking Heysel.
    2-0 Milan (Home) Marchisio Love
    2-1 Fiorentina (Home)

Santos 0x1 Gremio (Played off the park in the 1st half and toyed with in the 2nd)
Santos 2x3 Figueirense (Lost at the death)
Santos 2x3 Fluminese (Lost at the death again)
    Santos 2x3 Atletico-PR (and again)
Palmeiras 3x0 Santos (Played off the park)

I would have included the Barcelona game but given the opponents it seems pointless. It was going to take a miracle from the start.

    Best

Santos 2x1 Cerro Porteno (Game that saved our bacon in the group stage of the Libertadores)
    Santos 2x1 Penarol (Libertadores final)
Santos 3x1 Corinthians (Beat them in their own stadium for the first time in years)
Santos 3x3 Internacional (Came back from 3x0 down)
    Santos 4x5 Flamengo

Wasn't sure where to put the last one. I think the spectacle eventually overshadowed the result. Terrific game.

    Worst:

Cheltenham 0-3 Hereford. Just an utterly shite embarassing performance. Ended up using the Hereford avatar for the rest of the season as I lost the bet with Radford.

Crewe 8-1 Cheltenham. We were 4-0 down after 30 minutes, so it was pretty much a waste of a saturday.

Stevenage 4-0 Cheltenham. Lost this game with no fight, and we had to put up with Stevenage's team talk every 20 mins
    .
Cheltenham 0-1 Macclesfield. Our fans just lost it after this game after yet another shite home performance. We had only won once in 12 games from January to April at home. Macclesfield were dreadful but we some how managed to play worse and deservedly lose.

AFC Wimbledon 4-1 Cheltenham. Crammed into a tiny corner which only had three shallow rows for 300 of us, meaning I couldn't see the game, and had to stand in the pissing rain for the privelidge.

    Best:

Stockport 1-1 Cheltenham. Last game of the season and after 85 minutes the Stockport fans invaded the pitch and sat peacefully in the centre circle for about 10 mins. The best bit was Stockport were still attacking whilst a police officer was rugby tackling their fan in the penalty box Laughing.

Cheltenham 3-1 Crawley. After Wes Thomas failed to cheat by trying to lash onto a drop ball back to our keeper, with us counter attacking to make it 3-0. Evans called us a poor side after Laughing

Cheltenham 3-0 Southend. A game of first vs third and we absolutely tore them to shreds.

Oxford 1-3 Cheltenham. Strong away backing of 750 Ruby faithfulls cheering on the lads to an easy victory. Was a case of piggy in the middle in the end. Best part was two Oxford fans swinging puches at each other behind the goal. Laughing

Luton 2-4 Cheltenham. FA Cup second round classic. Was a terrific game to watch, end to end attacking football.

been a pretty great year for us

    Best-

AC Milan 0-1 Tottenham(Champions League Knockout Stages) beating one of the most legendary clubs in the sport's history in their own stadium in the Champions League was fantastic. When Lennon juked away from Yepes, slid a perfect pass to Crouch who nudged it home, I thought I was dreaming, couldn't wipe the smile off my face all day long.

Tottenham 2-1 Arsenal (English Premier League) beating Arsenal always feels great, especially when Kyle Walker, literally out of nowhere, fires you to victory with a long blast. Another enjoyable chapter of the North London Derby in the books.

Tottenham 0-0 AC Milan (Champions League Knockout Stage) - keeping AC Milan goalless over two legs is an incredible achievement for any team.

Tottenham 3-3 Arsenal (English Premier League) - even though we didn't win, this was as entertaining a North London Derby as any. Just as classic as the 4-4, the Danny Rose volley, Kyle Walker's goal, etc. Alot of great goals from both teams including a Tom Huddlestone strike out of nowhere to dig us out of the hole. Thrilling match all around.

Tottenham 4-0 Liverpool (English Premier League) - ripped Liverpool to shreads, they couldn't help but finish with 9 men, we played really well all around and this match gave me hope that this season would turn out okay.

    Worst
Real Madrid 4-0 Tottenham (Champions League Quarterfinals) - did I think we would beat Real Madrid over two legs? No, we were heavy underdogs. But we never really even got a chance to see what could have been. Crouch had two stupid yellows before you could blink and at that point our Champions League run that we had fought so hard for was already over. I would have been happy to just keep it close.

Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham (English Premier League) - this match was lost by the referee and our goalkeeper entirely. We outplayed Chelsea, Sandro scored a long range shot, then somewhere in the middle of all this our asshole goalkeeper forgot how to catch a ball. Every time Lampard or Drogba shot Gomes looked generally afraid of the ball, even worse then usual (and that's pretty bad.) Then it cost us, Lampard fires a shot from about 1 mile away, Gomes drops it behind him, Robert Green-esque, and crawls to stop it from crossing the goal line. Luckily we replaced Gomes for the rest of the matches last season. Although he is a shithead, he did in fact stop the ball from crossing the line, yet the officials called it a goal for some reason. Makes no sense to this day. People need to stop brushing shit like this under the rug and realize that something must be done, goal-line technology must be implemented, it almost makes too much sense. Back to the match, anyway, Kalou scored the game winning goal when he was offside clearly, but the match is at Stamford Bridge so Chelsea got every single call. This match meant so much to our Champions League hopes and we played so well and came away with nothing thanks to some of the worst officiating I've ever seen.

Manchester City 1-0 Tottenham (English Premier League)- Peter Crouch, afer his heroics against Manchester City the previous season, effectively killed our Champions League hopes with an own goal.

Manchester City 5-1 Tottenham (English Premier League) - Annihilated in our home opener, this match showed we were clearly falling behind the likes of City, luckily this result helped Harry sign important players like Adebayor and Parker, and sell some dead wood players.

Fulham 4-0 Tottenham (FA Cup) we were ravaged by Fulham in the FA Cup with most of our starting XI playing. Embarrassing.

You shouldn't blame Crouch for that, it would have been the same regardless. Don't forget, they beat you at White Hart Lane without even trying.

yeah but after the first leg we had no hope at all. You never know how things could have been different if Crouch wasn't an idiot. We wouldn't have won in either case but we would've gotten a chance to at least play football.

He also scored the goal that got us to the CL in the first place. But after his debocle against Real Madrid and his lack of goals all last season it was time for him to go. We would never be as good as we are right now with Crouch as our main striker. The whole "cross it to Crouch constantly" strategy got figured out pretty quickly by most teams. Now we have a striker who can actually play a fair deal of football and it makes us that much better.

Crouch is a legend for some of the goals he scored (Milan, Man City, etc.) but that doesn't make up for his shortcomings.

0-3 v Real Madrid. The Match it self was horrible, 2 disallowed goals on linesman mistakes. But the Lyon result that just was a gigantic dump on the already shitty result.

2-3 v FC Twente (Cup Final) We were 2-0 up, they turn it around to 2-2 and win in overtime.

4-6 Fc Utrecht. Worst game by Kenneth Vermeer, generally the team was in shit and national team break couldn't come at a better time.

0-3 Spartak Moskva the first game was bad and we played poorly. But in this game we had outplayed them but they struck like lightning, 3 times and the magic was gone.

2-3 Ado Den Haag Right when the 10/11 season had just been turned around the team ran into a wake up call, with just 6 rounds to go we could not afford to drop any points, we were lucky that PSV and Twente dropped points in the last 5 before the final day.

Which leads to the best results

3-1 FC Twente (Last round Championship decider) a brace by Siem De Jong and a hilariously stupid Own goal by Denny Landzaat (Twente goal scored by Theo Janssen now with Ajax on assist by Siem De Jong's brother Luuk)

4-0 Dinamo Zagreb. We showed Real Madrid and Lyon how it should be done over the 2 games against Zagreb, 0-2 away but the home match was a Barcelona style display. with a MotM performance by Christian Eriksen (ended on UEFA team of the week) On hindsight we maybe shouldn't have shown Madrid and Lyon how it's done Wink

4-0 Roda JC after a spell of poor games for a side that produces some of the best football in Holland as a trademark, we got a 4-2 over Roda in the cup and returned the following weekend for the league. Not letting them get a foot right in the game, another MotM performance by C. Eriksen.

3-0 Anderlecht, in EL we drew Belgian team Anderlecht and played away first, it could easily have been a close game with the dangerous (Although overhyped) talent Lukaku in front. But instead Ajax showed just what they had to do to get the best result away from home. With 2 assists and a goal by C. Eriksen ( are you seeing the same pattern?)

2-1 Heerenveen i am not sure other Ajax fans would agree with me, but this match just a round from the would be decider against FC Twente was for me the day we secured the championship, a bad mistake by Vermeer sent Ajax down by 1, but quick thinking from C. Eriksen played Sulejmani free right from the kick off after goal, and just a minute into the 2nd half he scored himself to make it 2-1. (Yea.)

Well, they lost to Madrid in the Copa del Rey final, lost to Betis 3-1 in the second leg of a Copa del Rey tie, lost to Arsenal in the first leg, drew with AC Milan in the last minute, and drew with Athletic Bilbao on a wet night.
