Facebook Timeline
Does anyone use it yet? Normally I dislike Facebook a little more each time they change the layout but this one kind of interests me, mainly because I want to see what all my earlier posts from years ago were.

Re: Facebook Timeline
It is overcomplicated and looks like shit. I preferred the wall as just a list, it was easier to see everything at once. Would delete my facebook but that would probably end any social life I have as my phone doesn't work.

Re: Facebook Timeline
Looks good. But I don't really post a lot of shit. So it would be pointless for me. I only use FB if I need to contact someone.

I have it. I hate the layout, although it's useful for anyone wants to search for an older post on your wall.

Everyone's getting it eventually, whether they like it or not

God damn it.
They should really make these changes optional.

I got it, being reminded of how ugly you were in 2007-2009 is not nice.

Is Timeline just for your own profile? Or can you see someone else's Timeline too?

From what I gather, it'll be the new layout for everyone's profile so both you and everyone else can see it. Well, whoever you've given permission to see it can...in theory.

I also certainly don't want any future employers having an easy time checking my facebook history.

This is going to be forced?
Fuck that, don't want to see my ugly ass mug on the top of the page every time I look at my profile.

Re: Facebook Timeline
I don't really like the idea of people in 50 years time going into archives and finding out exactly what I did and seeing all my statuses and pics and shit, don't really want my life documented and immortalised on the internet. This will only make that easier. I can see me deleting my facebook in a while. I reckon this new layout looks pretty ugly too anyway.

You can make your profile hidden from search. Only your friends will see your profile.

Once Google fixes my problem with youtube linked account being permanent () I will probably make the switch to google+. I can see Google making google+ really big so they can control the public even more.
Nowadays, I only use Facebook for the games anyway.

It just is. Barely anyone uses it except for you and artists, there's nothing special about it really it's just trying to be like Facebook, and the circles thing is retarded...ahlycotc wrote:Cristiano wrote:G+ is fucking terrible... and the timeline isn't even that bad, you guys bitch too much.

It was competing with Facebook. If anything, Facebook was "trying" to be like G+. Ever since G+ came out, Facebook added several new features to try to compete with G+. Circles is one of the best features on G+, I don't see how you can say it's retarded. Even Facebook agrees when they implemented a similar feature later on. They also added video chat to compete with Hangouts.
You are right though, usage is minimal on G+. But that's hardly a reason to call a product "terrible". It takes time for a new product to get adopted. So far though, it's been promising. I would prefer it over Facebook if it was as active.
