They should make a film based on The Silmarillion.

Sounds too ambitious. A series perhaps. Not on the small screen since even Game of Thrones is barely getting by.

Yeah, a series would be a better option. It would have to involve a gargantuan budget, though.

Well yeah, but in the trailer he did look like a cross between a dirty Richard Harris' Dumbledore, and Gambon's one.

I remember reading the Hobbit in like grade 5 or 6, I kind of remember the storyline. I wonder how similar to the book the film will be.

Yes, cameo acts I'd imagine. You know, they could always throw in Gimli during the Battle of Five armies. Speaking of that, really looking forward to that bit. Hope they pull it off with the same style as with Pelennor fields.


And they better not leave out Beorn.

Apparently it'll be a bit more comedic than the LOTR series, since it was essentially a children's book.

14th of December, both US and England.

Oh, I expected it was too far off to get excited about but no, not too far away.

Too bad I don't know anyone who would want to go see it with me, so I'll probably wait until it's out on DVD.
