You jusy have to hate it when you manage to score 4 goals and only manage a draw. Anyone here know of a a game that a player scored 4 goals and only got a draw??Jordan Rhodes fired four goals - the final one deep into injury time - as Huddersfield snatched a point in a 4-4 draw with promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
Rhodes wasted a free header in the opening stages before putting Town ahead after 12 minutes. Gary Roberts crossed from the left and the Terriers' top-scorer headed in off the underside of the crossbar with the aid of a deflection.
Rhodes doubled his side's advantage soon afterwards, heading another Roberts cross into the top left-hand corner at the near post.
Wednesday hit back though and drew level with two goals in three minutes. Skipper Rob Jones headed in the first in the 26th minute after good work by Ben Marshall before left-back Reda Johnson slotted home to equalise.
On-loan winger Marshall slid the ball past Huddersfield goalkeeper Ian Bennett to put the Owls ahead just after the hour mark and Chris O'Grady headed in Chris Lines' free-kick to make it 4-2 with 74 minutes on the clock.
Rhodes fired in right-footer to complete his hat-trick with 13 minutes remaining before poking home an equaliser in the seventh minute of added time to cap a sensational Yorkshire derby.

Won't be long until some big team chases Rhodes. Hope he stays with Huddersfield a bit, take them up and give it a few months in the Championship before seeing if he can make the step up to the Prem, although it may be worth a team like Bolton taking the risk on him.

That's a bit unfair isn't it? A whole team against one player, what an unsporting team.

7 of which have not been in the prem against weak opposition 50% your league goals from one man, significantly higher than anyone else in the Prem.

Why? I doubt he can make it in the prem go play in front of 60,000 every week and he's practically guaranteed European football every year...Celtic/Rangers > Championship imo. Celtic will probably pay him more than a champ team as well.

Charlie Adam, Stephen Crainey, Barry Ferguson, Murphy, Berra and Bednar say hi
EDIT: And I know some of them play for prem clubs but at the time of the transfer they were in the Championship.

Scotland is no where near as attractive as playing in the Championship. The chance to play in many modern stadiums and play good quality football in the 4th most watched league in the world beats playing in front of 50,000 religious racists and getting smashed by some Slovakian team in a 2 week European Qualifying adventure in July any day of the week.

We have money but our chairman would rather build fancy hotels and upgrade the east stand for rich people.Jordi wrote:Well, if you don't support Leeds, Pompey, Forest or Cov you should be okay,coolhead33 wrote:
