I don't think so, Aston Villa have been performing pretty bad this season but as others have mentioned in this thread there are worse teams. I personally feel that Bolton, Wigan and Wolves that will drop down to the Championship.
However Aston Villa are a club with some good players, youth and have better attacking talent than defending I don't understand why McLeish plays such negative football, it's not like Aston Villa have terrible players upfront or anything.
Aston Villa need to fire McLeish because this is not a club which should have fans fearing relegation in my opinion.
Playing so deep is suicidal in my opinion, you will hardly have the ball upfront as the opposition will be pressurising you inside your own half which hardly gives players a chance to get forward causing you to get dominated nine out of ten times in your own half.I don't understand how McLeish thinks he will get any good results that way,
I saw the Manchester United and Liverpool games and during the pre-match McLeishsaid "We have nothing to lose".If you don't have anything to lose why not take the game to them?Instead of keeping everybody except your lone striker behind the ball. These tactics just don't work,
Another thing I have noticed is that Aston Villa players give away far too easily the amount of times they can play a simple forward pass but mess it up is hilarious.
