Have Verizon as my provider.. can get practically any phone they have.. but just have no idea what to choose since I'm not really tech savvy.. plus it seems like once you get a device.. in a weeks time something newer, faster, and better comes out.

If you're not into tech as much the iphone 4s maybe?
Imo its simple to use and its quite fast. It also has a pretty good video camera

It's got to be an Android phone or iPhone. No other smartphone really compares.
If you want an iPhone, it's simple: just get the latest one. With Android, it's a bit more difficult. There are dozens of different phones by different manufactures with different software. You can check out the Android thread that I created that was posted earlier here. Personally, I would recommend the Google Nexus Prime or Samsung Galaxy II. They both rival the iPhone.
I would also recommend going to your local Verizon or Best Buy and asking for their opinion. They can help you choose the right phone depending on what you want in a phone.

That's the reality of technology today. You will just have to live with it.

seems like when i go to verizon/best buy.. they just always push the newest phone, no matter what.. hard to get a real answer.
i kind of like the DROIDs a lot.. but also hear shit about them.. i won't go to iPhones.. fuck that, just don't want to be another one of their sheep.
I did notice that Samsung is coming out with the Nexus soon.. and has the Galaxy.. just don't know how much quality is there..
but I will continue to research and ask, thanks.

Both of the Samsung models beat the respective rivals, Nexus is the best phone on the market at this time, Galaxy S2 is a cheaper option but is still a quality smartphone.justaddfinesse wrote:ahlycotc wrote:It's got to be an Android phone or iPhone. No other smartphone really compares.

Well of course they are going to push the latest phones, those are usually the better and more advanced ones. As for the iPhone, Apple makes good products. I don't agree with the idea to refusing their products because you don't want to be a "sheep".
What exactly are you looking for in a new phone?

The iPhone is spectacular, even if you were to go for the 3GS version.

The iphone is a great. Tbh you need to be a bit of a tech geek to get the most out of the other smartphones.
