BAD WATER TURNS WHOLE TOWN GAY
POLLUTED water is turning an entire town’s men gay, a furious mayor has warned.
Jose Buenitez says a chemical that dilutes male hormones has contaminated the supply in Huarmey, Peru.
The water flows from nearby Tabalosos, dubbed “Gayville” because it has an almost entirely homosexual population.
Mr Buenitez said that if the metallic element strontium was not filtered out of the system the men in his town would all turn the same way.
He warned citizens: “Strontium reduces male hormones. Suddenly we will be just like Tabalosos, where the percentage of homosexuality is increasing.”
His claim comes after a documentary made in 2000 by a Lima TV station claimed almost every male resident of Tabalosos was gay.
Scientists have found that strontium can cause bone cancer, blood disease, anaemia and heart problems.
But no study has ever found it makes men homosexual.
