Joleon Lescott - England's best centre back

Cahill in my opinion. Him and Lescott would be an interesting partnership. I've always rated Joleon though.

That partnership would probably work actually. Both good on the ball, both would be able to play at their preferred side as well.

I wouldn't say he's overall our best centre back, but going off current form, he's certainly playing well for City, and played well tonight.

Cahill needs to move to a big club and prove he can do it every week. Look at how poor Bolton's defence is, can't really say he's England's best centre back.

Honestly Id say Smalling or Jones in a year or two will be the best.

Lescott is currently England's best centre back, because he is on good form.

He's very poor technically, can't play a decent ball forwards, something both Terry and Ferdinand are able to.

He will come us (Liverpool) in January we need another decent centre back and he fits the bill nicely
