Bob Bradley takes charge of his first match as Egypt coach. This is a reply of the Confederations Cup match in 2009. Both teams are scheduled to play each other again early next year.

Here is the highlights of the last match...

    Elmohamady's handball. Dry Smile

Marcelo and Kaka are out due to injury. Bob Bradely has raised some eyebrows with his selection. He called up El Hadary, Zidan, and Ahmed Hassan but doesn't call up Aboutreka. Dry Smile

On a serious note, I'm not quite sure if Bradley is the best one for the Egypt job but I'll be rooting for them anyway.

Barcelona and Brazil star defender Dani Alves is aware that the Selecao will not be having an easy ride when they take on Egypt in Monday’s friendly.

''It will not be easy. I don’t know much about their team, but I know it’s evolving. It’ll be a tough game, '' Alves said ahead of the game in Doha.

Alves played the whole game when Brazil edged out the African champions in a memorable 4-3 thriller in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup.

The world-class full-back doesn’t believe that his side should be affected by the absence of a number of key players against the Egyptians.

''All the players who are here are great, and all are important for their clubs,'' he added.

''We need to have respect, because this is the Brazilian squad.''

I hate to be a typical Egyptian, but we are going to get raped.

Since the Brazilan Serie A is ending right now is why this lineup for Brazil includes only European players. Around this time last year Brazil played Argentina in Doha, Qatar so I do not know if that might give Brazil an extra advantage of being prepared for the conditons over there. I guess they could get some additional support from the locals since they took the time to come over and play a friendly for them.

Granted this will be a serious test and Egypt might not win you could not schedule a better friendly. Since Brazil obviously does not have any qualifying games to play they should give 100% effort in their friendlies. Playing against someone that are more likely to beat might be nice but if the other is going half speed what is the point of the game?

Egypt have played a few times in Qatar already. They get a lot of support for those friendlies. The last time they were there, they played against Qatar and there more Egyptians in the stands than Qatar fans. Laughing

The game is going to begin in about one hour. For the Americans, the match is on ESPN3.com. I'm not sure if it's on TV.

This time of year the average high is 30 C with an average low of 20 C. I think the game is being played in the early evening because it starts at 12 PM east coast time.

Where do you live? I don't know if it's on TV outside of the USA. Over here, it's on ESPN3.com and Al Jazeera Sport. I can provide links online though...

Egypt is playing with two U20 players in goalkeeper, Al Shenawi, and defender, Hegazy. I don't think Zidan should be playing. I'll probably eat my words if he scores. Laughing

    HT: Brazil 1-0 Egypt

Boring match and poor half from Egypt. We are basically parking the bus and can't get 4 passes in a row when attacking. Our defense isn't that great either. They were sleeping when Brazil scored.

Elmo needs to come off and put in Zaki instead of Zidan. We are missing that attacking attractive play that we usually play with. Aboutreka should have been called up. Shika is doing alright when he gets the ball, but he isn't getting it enough. Al Shanawi is doing good in goal; the next El Hadary.
