Teams value for money Empty Teams value for money

Teams value for money Transfer-EffectivenessWhile Ken Bates is indeed a stingy old cunt who is ruining Leeds at the moment, the following indicates that in fact his business model may not be so bad. It is the 'pounds per point' of the current team, i.e you add up the costs of all players in the starting team and divide by the number of points achieved thus far.

Interesting, would be good to see a comparison for other leagues.

    That is an interesting statistic...

Wonder if this graph could be done for the premier league.

FSG bought Liverpool under the estimated price, by some bit.

So we should look good. Razz

The 'Purchase Price' column is the cost of the players, not what the club was bought for. shifty

Sounds easy enough if what all they did was divide the sum of the squad by the number of points.

They could of done this on Microsoft excel. Teams value for money 279869

Liverpool £11315789=1 point. Teams value for money 279869

Wait I think I did this wrong. Neutral

I'd like to see the a table with first the 11 that have played most for each team. I reckon Leeds gets brought down alot by the likes of Billy Paynter. Laughing Hull's brought up by players valued too high and they are trying to get rid of like McShane and Olofinjana. Razz

Paynter brings ours up actually cause we paid for him. Laughing

I'm not sure whether this does include the entire squad or just the most common first team. Will look on the site where it came from.

Our starting XI amounts to about £8m, so I don't know where that figure came from.

Must be a guess then, as De Ridder was undisclosed.

Everyone else was free on our subs bench.

TBH Birmingham have some games in hand so it could look better for them......

Knew Watford would be near the top, even with our low amount of points.
