Egypt fail to capitalize on their chances as they draw 1-1 against Austria in the second match of the U20 World Cup. They now sit in third place, 3 points behind second place, Austria. Their last match is against Panama, who have lost both of their matches and conceded 8 goals without reply.

Egypt win 4-0 in their final group match against Panama. Brazil win 1-0 against Austria with an 81st minute goal to help put Egypt in second place ahead of Austria by goal difference. So, Brazil and Egypt go through to the next round. Austria might still have a chance of qualifying to the next round by being one of the top third place teams.

Good performance from Barca. Rodri tearing it up again and winning man of the match.

Egypt lose to Ecuador in the Round of 16 after a tense match. Egypt dominated the game, but failed to capitalize on their chances. They went into a penalty shootout at 0-0. Egypt missed their first 2 penalties but managed to put the shootout into sudden death. Eventually, defender, Ahmed Hegazi, missed the crucial penalty for Egypt.

Most of the squad was away on international duties, so I had to play with a lot of the B squad players in the last pre-season friendly. We were shocked 2-0 against a poor team.

I narrowly lose the Spanish Super Cup to Real Madrid. I was missing Messi though.

La Liga table?

The U20 World Cup comes to a conclusion. Spain win the title after beating England 1-0. Brazil win third place after beating Portugal 2-0.

Is Rodri going to play a lot this season?

He has been one of my best performers in the pre-season and is doing great in the season so far. Maybe he will develop into a good striker. I also bought Alcacer for the future, but I dropped him to the B side for this season to get some experience.

I promoted Thiago to the first team, but he is basically a backup. Fabregas is ahead of him in the pecking order for now.

Pinto, Abidal, and Montoya's contracts are set to expire at the end of the season. I'm thinking of letting Pinto go and bring in a young good keeper. I'll probably extend Abidal's contract for a couple more years and then let him go or he will retire. I will most likely extend Montoya's contract.

Dani Alves gets injured while on international duty is out for 3 weeks.

Sanchez is injured on international duty and out for a month.

Your not having very good luck with injuries

It happened in the demo too. I don't know why injuries are more apparent compared to FM 11.
