The under-21's currently 1-0 up against Russia. Ander scored with a nice strike from distance, rather straight forward so far, 36 mins in.

Is Thiago playing?

He is sir, playing very well.

Montoya, Thiago and Bojan started Jamie.

Is Mata playing?

Has Muniain been capped at senior level at all?

No he injured his ankle last week. Capel is playing on the left.

Thiago is Brazilian not Spanish, Spain always using Brazil leftovers (Marcos Senna..etc)

Every level up to under-21's.

The quality in Spain's youth teams really is special. Future stars everywhere you look.

Few changes at half-time. Dani Parejo is on and dictating a lot of the play at the moment. High possession from Spain, lacking the final movement/pass right now.

What do you think will be the team for the Euros, the U21 one that is.

There are much better players out there I would think.

Only has 1 cap with under-21's Dean, a lot of competition. Would imagine he will be included in the under-20 squad for the World Cup.

Well that's been coming. Russia make it 1-1, under 10 minutes to go.

Full-time: Spain 1-1 Russia. A lot of changes disrupted the football. Still some promising signs to take forward. Thiago was quality.

What about Leon, I heard rave reviews about him before he joined Madrid but never seemed to have played.
