Nope, I would have gone if it was somewhere else but I make a point of never going to the HJ, because we've been fucked over every time I go.

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
BTW congrats on getting to the final zzonked .
I went to a Cronulla gane last night and i was surrounded by the biggest mongs ever, They kept moaning for them to get onside when gold coast were and they were booing Scott Prince when he took the kick and when he scored it he looked at the people who were booing him and winked and put his thumb up also i had some woman behind me who went what score is it oh we are losing oh there's a bird then went on about birds for about the whole game.
Serious Breeding there.......

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Can a Nuetral fan or a fan of an other team tell me who you think is a bigger club, Hull FC or Hull KR, im speaking to my mate and he thinks FC are bigger currently and history wise, even though since we came in Super League we have finished above them in every season bar 1 and are only 1 pt behind them now. Rovers fans also fill their stadium nearly every game yet hull havent sold out since 2007

Re: Official Rugby League Thread
Hull have a bigger ground though and imo i would say Hull fc are as in recent years they have won the Challenge cup and got to to the Super League final whilst KR only recently came back in to the super league.

I'm looking forward to it, feels like ages since I've been to a game.

A loss for Kr will all but put Hull Fc in the top 8.

I reckon it will come down to the Warrington away game. You can't write them off with that fixture yet to play, because that could easily swing either way.
On a side note, if you want some guaranteed money put money on Sam Tomkins man of steel.

Why is Rugby League in your opinion better than Union?

It's a better spectator sport because it lends itself to a lot more running and a lot less dull tactical kicking. Another aspect is that the players can focus on making yards in the run and they don't have to worry about losing possession due to a lack of support.

We'll be running round the willows with his head. Na seriously fair play to the bloke even though he left us in bad circumstances he has gone on great at Wigan and i think he could have gone another year.Zzonked wrote:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/14617108.stm

I will bullet point a few things.
- Faster game rugby union is a lot more of kick and chase whilst with Rugby league the players make many more yards.
- Better atmosphere as for rugby union most fans go together whilst in rugby league you would never get that in a million years for some matches, such as Hull and Hull Kr that is like the Manchester derby!
- Better tackling, A player called Lesley Vainikolo moved to rugby union and whilst he was good in rugby league for Bradford he makes rugby union look like a mockery with some of the shoddy tackle attempts on him.
- I think finally Rugby league players as well have realised that the grass isn't greener on the other side because only Eastmond has moved to rugby union recently as most of our players will now move to the NRL as there is more money there and they can push themselves better instead of rugby union.
Ashton was good at Wigan but wasn't one of their main players at the time and he moved to rugby union and has become one of their bigger stars but since he moved Wigan have developed many more youngsters such as the Tomkins brothers so it shows that rugby league is developing more players as the England rugby union team have two former New Zealand rugby league players playing for them.
