Nah not many of my mates have them or that they're popular or anything - I just think they're quality!
One of my mates has a pair of the Solo HD ones, and another has the in-ear ones but they are quite crap tbh.

I have a pair of Solo HDs. I don't wear them around my neck like a fashion accessory, I usually put them in the case thingy that comes with it stick them in my bag. Use them on the bus.
They're really good, worth it if you listen to music a lot.

Dunno, never seen a fake pair. I'm sure they wouldn't sound as good though, you'd probably have a distinct mark or lack of marking on a fake pair.
