Nadal whining like a bitch over the blue clay just because he lost.

Re: The tennis thread.
That's Djokovic out as well. When's the last time none of the top 4 seeds made the semi-finals of a masters 1000 event? Federer - Ferrer next.

Re: The tennis thread.
'I want to forget this week as soon as possible and move on to the real clay courts,' he told a news conference after his loss.
'It took me at least a week to try and get used to this surface and somehow find a way to win matches and play a decent level of tennis.
'There is no discussion in my eyes, it's very simple. No blue clay for me.'
Djokovic.

I suppose Federer has gone out early as well, right?

Re: The tennis thread.
No, I see what you're trying to get at, I wasn't saying it's the blue clay's fault, just posting what Novak has said.. and Nadal was complaining about it before he had any problem on it at all, the match he lost wasn't due to the blue clay he was 5-2 up serving for it twice in the final set, it was just him being awful.ResurrectionRooney wrote:I suppose Federer has gone out early as well, right?
EDIT: So basically, your post about Federer had nothing to do with anything.

Re: The tennis thread.
Berdych - Federer final has been good from what I've been able to see, 4-3 Federer in the final set, it's on serve, think Fed will win it.

Re: The tennis thread.
Berdych saves 3 break points from 0-40 with 3 Ace's, but Federer still breaks with Berdych double faulting.

Re: The tennis thread.
Berdych broke back but Federer broke at 6-5 to win it 7-5.
Berdych played well, didn't capitalize on enough break points though, and made mistakes at vital times.

Re: The tennis thread.
Saw some of the final, what with all the channel hopping, Berdych romped that first set as well. 20th Masters title for Fed and up to number 2

Re: The tennis thread.
Yeah when Berdych is hot he's brilliant, was hitting some amazing winners, not too fussed about the ranking of Rafa as long as he doesn't go below Murray.

Re: The tennis thread.
Mayer's a decent player, a bit unorthodox from what I remember. Still, Rafa'll win easily.

Re: The tennis thread.
Great first set from Rafa tonight, second was tighter and he should have broke a couple of other Mayer game's, got there in the end despite missing that sitter. Played well overall.

Re: The tennis thread.
Great line-up today.
Djokovic v Monaco at 11, Rafa v Granollers is not the next game but the one after, Maria v Ivanovic at 6:30, Federer v Ferrero at 8pm, also Del Potro v Tsonga at 6 which should be good.

Re: The tennis thread.
Novak was a set down and a break down but has managed to put himself a break up in this second set, no way he'll lose this now.

Re: The tennis thread.
Ever since that huge gust of wind, Monaco just lost it, he was playing pretty well too. And I forgot about the prediction thing again and the next one is in August
