Should I get an iPhone?

Well I saved up the money and can get one next month.
I have never owned any of iDevices so I don't have an opinion on them.

What do you think?

iPhone 5 should be out in a few months.

There's better phones out there tbh. After a while the novelty of an iphone wears off.

I was against iPhones at first, then I upgraded my old iPod and got an iPod touch and thought it was the coolest thing ever so I got an iPhone. Although now I have no use for the iPod touch.

Don't be silly. The iPhone has some distinct features over other phones.

The biggest advantage is the App Store. No other store comes close yet to the App Store.

The iPhone is properly rated.

The iPhone is so simple to use, so user friendly, and absolutely exquisite.

With the HTC, you are met with loads of different things. It feels as if they pack loads of little widgets into the home screens just to look better. Matter of fact is, it just looks shit,

Same with other smart phones. Overloaded with too much unnecessary things.

With HTC you can have as many or as few widgets as you like.

But yeah I'd say do it, although as Mal says the iPhone 5 isn't too far off, so you could hang fire for a few months and save up a bit more.

He's saying it's by far the best phone in the world, if it isn't, that makes it over-rated.

iPhone 5 is coming out in the fall. It's not coming anytime soon. It will be released around the same time the iPhone 4 and then the iPhone 4S was released.

I do agree that the iPhone is a solid smartphone, but to be quite honest.. the DROID RAZR MAXX is simply brilliant, amazing graphics and picture, and has a really beautiful screen/screen size. Great size, and has solid battery life, along with many possibilities software wise.

Galaxy Nexus; what a beautiful device. Smooth as silk, beautiful display and camera [as well as the razr], and has ice cream sandwich which makes it just an all around complete smartphone. gps is solid, browser is super fast and smooth. Battery life though, is lacking.. but you can get an extended battery for it.. which fits nicely.

iPhone.. solid of course.. simple.. has a shit ton of accessories and cases for it to pimp it out.. but its just a smartphone full of apps, apps, apps, apps, and apps. Hate how it ties you down to just apple products and services.. you cant get around it. want something? app store.. apple, app, app.

My contract is up at the end of this month.. I have been debating which device to get for months and months.. and coincidentally i went into a Verizon store today to test out the phones and compare.

iPhone is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking small compared to all the other phones, and really.. no bias or anything.. its just so dull compared to the other devices i've mentioned.

Top 3 current phones, [in no particular order for bias readers]

Droid Razr Maxx
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
iPhone 4S

You can't go wrong with either.. and as I was talking to the verizon man at the store for about half an hour.. its all about preference. Most have the same software and shit.. but you can't beat that fucking screen man.. and how smooth it is. Android phones.. Galaxy Nexus.. you have so much freedom. iPhone feels like you're in lock down.
