Anyone own/know anything about them. I lost my phone a month ago and I've been using a shitty replacement one. I'm asking for an android phone for christmas, hoping someone knows anything at all and can make some recommendations.

Re: Android phones
Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
If you can't afford that I'd go for the Samsung Galaxy S2, in my opinion the best phone on the market at the moment. (Until the Galaxy Nexus is released)

The only think appealing to me about the iPhone is the ribcrushingly hilarious autocorrects it sometimes produces. I think Androids are superior otherwise.Ché Guayaba wrote:Buy an iphone.

Re: Android phones
I have an HTC Wildfire, and I generally like it. It's a good option if you're looking for a decent phone, but not looking too spend too much, as it's not as much as the Desire.
The only downsides for me are short battery length and it can sometimes be quite slow, but apart from that, I think it's a really good phone to buy, unless you're really after something that's top of the range.

This.
If you can treat yourself for Christmas, I would say get the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The phone I got, the LG Optimux 2x is a relatively new model, and is probably the best phone out there after the Samsung Galaxy S2. I must say, I am enjoying the Optimus alot.
Also if you are getting a new provider, go with WIND. (Though check the internet to see how the WIND connection is in your town, as I doubt they have the same signal strength as in TO.)

Re: Android phones
My iPhone has fairly poor battery also. But I did have it for 2 years and it's a 3GS.

Re: Android phones
Samsung Galaxy S2 is not that much bigger than the iPhone 4S, in width and height that is, it's actually thinner and weighs less.10RLegend wrote:I was looking to buy an android but why are they so damn big? Idk if they'll fit in my pocket.

They aren't much bigger. They seem bigger because the actual screen takes up more space. So the screen is larger, but the size of the phone is almost the same. It will fit in your pocket just fine. And as said, it's actually thinner and weighs less than the iPhone.

Re: Android phones
I was looking online first, then when i saw them in person they looked pretty big, but the Galaxy II has a reasonable size, and it looks pretty nice.
They should make smaller phones too imo, bigger isn't always better.

Re: Android phones
My phone is significantly larger than other phones (Wider screen, still relatively thin and light though) and I have absolutely no issue keeping it in my pocket.
Bigger screen is much better, trust me. I can watch streams of football matches on my phone and get a genuinely enjoyable experience.
