Paul Scholes or Steven Gerrard?

Some Liverpool fans claim that Gerrard is superior to Paul Scholes Rolling Eyes

so in this thread I provide you with the opportunity to laugh at them back.

Gerrard is a superb player, but in his prime, Scholes was much better. Even as a Man United fan, I don't feel as if I'm biased by saying that.

You honestly do not need to show the club honours Filippo, Scholes was always the better player, that's taking nothing away from Gerrard he was a great player as well.

Not only was Scholes a far better attacking midfielder in his prime, he also successfully reinvented himself as a the best deep lying playmaker in the business for 2 or 3 years later on in his career, after his eye injury had robbed him of 6 months of his career. Whereas when he was a more attacking player, or a box-to-box player, he was very effective, when he was played deeper, watching him was just a privilege. Towards the end of his career, the moments of form gave way thanks to a lack of legs, and incompetent partners in midfield, but there was a period between April and August of 2010 where his performances were at their best again, and it was joyous, there was no midfielder in Europe putting in better performances than him. Unfortunately that's where the greatness ended for him. There shouldn't even be a discussion here, it's an insult to Scholes.

And yeah, he did foul people, and claim it was an accident at the time, but so what? Gerrard broke a child's leg because he was a Man United fan and said it was an accident.
