The Champions League This Season

I think this season, it's going to be the biggest fight to win the Champions League, there are so many teams after it this year, and alot of new faces in alot of teams. Teams such as: Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Inter Milan just to name a few. Maybe it's the same as any other season, but I don't think that, with City money as no object, United have 3 new faces, Madrid and Chelsea are more hungry then ever and AC Milan looked a real threat last season, and Arsenal are desperate for a trophy, however likely the odds are against them. I'm looking forward to seeing City in the Champions League and it will be interesting to see if they get further than Spurs did last season, there's still a good month to go so anything can happen.

This is going to be such a great season, many new teams, many teams improving with new talents who have never played in the CL. I can't wait to see how the group stages will shape up.

Arsenal?

Barca will win it and break another record.

To be fair if people laugh at Arsenal many teams should not be there, Man City to name one.

I actually think they'll struggle against teams such as Hadjuk Split.

If arsenal don't get a prem team i actually think they have a chance, assuming they keep the wantaway pair.

Still if PSG can get through, they will win/

Arsenal will smash whoever they get in the play off round. 4 English teams in the group stages, guaranteed.

I think Arsenal will qualify but there are some tough teams we might come up against: Bayern Munich, Villarreal, Udinese etc

Considering you cut out the most vital part of my post in response to you. Arsenal, Munich, Villareal, Udinese etc can only face these teams, deciding on who wins out of these 5 fixtures.

No problem. I'd want to avoid Benfica and Kyiv tbh. I think we'll get Zurich.

Why? They finished above Arsenal and are strengthening, unlike Arsenal who seem to be weakening.

But Arsenal have played in the CL for years, Man City are new to it. Man City could of won the FA Cup because they are playing clubs at a similar pace, and so on. In Europe you play in many different conditions, players and so on.

Man City will get further than Arsenal in the CL, end of.

I dont expect much from Olympiakos this season,unless we get a quality DM.Personally,I will be over the moon if we qualify for the knockout stages.

Olympiakos have a strong team, great Strikers, decent Defensive and a good Midfield.

I never said the DM's were good, I was talking about the likes of Riera, Ariel Ibagaza & Fejsa so...

Lets be serious, it's going to come down to Real Madrid Vs. Barcelona again, last season they beat the piss out of every Premier League team they faced, and Chelsea and City are no better than what they smashed. More importantly, they've signed the best player from the Bundesliga and Serie A respectively to add to their already awesome sides. Neither of them are unbeatable, but they are the best teams in Europe by a distance, I'd be highly surprised if neither of them won it.

Agreed with RR. I think this season will be like last season. Extremely predictable and boring. Final four will be; Manchester United, Barcelona, Madrid and someone else. Maybe Chelsea or AC. There are still some big teams left out of this years competition. Teams such as Juventus and Liverpool who have so much history in the competition won't be present because they are underperforming. I don't think Arsenal or City will go far. I doubt trhis season will be as competitive as the 07/08 or 08/09 years.
