I want to get a new pc game along the lines of age of empires.....

anyone got any recommendations?

Well y'know, they're all basically the same game, but from different time zones

And you don't need a really good one for Rome: Total war, but i reckon you do for Shogun or the later ones, like Napoleon, or Empire.

Just play AOE3 I think 1000 or so people are still on it.

Europa Universalis

It's different from total war though.

Age of Mythology is still the best!
