SPL 2011/2012 Thread

For some stupid reason, the SPL kicks off next Saturday, 23/7/11, so I thought I'd just make a thread for the five or so Scots on the forum.

I think Celtic will win it this year. I can't see McCoist doing well and I think he will get the sack this season.

I haven't a clue. Celtic play a friendly today, then on Sunday, then another friendly, then the league again.

Old Firm dates? honestly, they're probably the only matches I'm gunna watch...

I don't get the SPL

Three games each, then one more after the split. The fourth one will be announced after match day 33.

An earlier start date is an important part of the SPL’s strategic plan for Scottish football and should mean that SPL clubs involved in European qualifiers in July enter those games better prepared. I've not really been keeping abreast with either teams transfer activity, so it's difficult to say who looks better going into the league. I think Celtic may win the league, but only because of McCoist's low level of experience.

Every chance actually. You only won the league last season because you had a much better, wiser and more experienced manager than Celtic. Now Rangers have an even less experienced manager than Neil Lennon, I think the strength of Celtics squad will prevail. Obviously this is IMO.

Not worried about McCoists lack of management experience because hes been trained and coached for this over the last 5 years by Sir Walter. A few new fances and we will win the league again. Wehave the core of the team signed up again and virtually the same starting 11 that have won the league 3 years in a row. We know how to get it done!
