    Rugby?? much better game
    It's not like Rugby. Laughing
The tackles are much more intense in this game and at a much higher speed, not to mention the guys are bigger. Without the padding there would be a shit load of deaths in NFL. Rugby is an endurance sport, this is not.

^^ true it's much more strategic - the guys are just like chess pieces for the coach , while the QB runs the show.

IDK it's OK just not my cup of tea. Vick is good to watch though.

No ads here on the BBC Cool

Rugby union is shit, it might aswell have the stoppages because you see about 10 kicks and 10 2 yard runs before you actually see a proper run. Rugby league is amazing, however.

That was union. Hardly anyone outside the north west/yorkshire gives a fuck about rugby league though.

I've watched/played a bit of rugby, only similarity I see with football is 200 pound men running with balls, two vastly different games. 28-17 Green Bay now, huge mendenhal turnover

Same, origins may be similar but it's apples and oranges. What a throw from Big Ben, 28-24, what a game this is.

The line of scrimmage is somewhat similar to a ruck situation. You should watch Rugby league, it's the Rugby version of American football.

You get 5 tackles to score, usually with a kick on 5th and the opposition has to stand 10 yards back after every tackle. It's a lot more flowing but it's still similar. Such a good spectator sport, probably my favorite to watch, even ahead of football.

Good Superbowl. Shame Big Ben cost us the game really. The pass for the Ward TD was absolute luck. He just launched it and hoped. Fucked it up for the 1st interceptio. Unlucky for the Steelers TBH because apart from those 3 interceptions that led to 17 points the Packers really didnt have much success tonight against the Steelers defence.

Wont hold it against them though. Always liked the Packers. Just because their jersey and helmet combo is so cool. The Packers are one of those teams nobody hates so not too bothered about them getting the Superbowl. Worried about the Steelers defence for next season. A lot of older guys there so maybe a transition period for them next year.

Who even knows if there will be any NFL next year. Sort it out guys!!!

Are people really calling Rodgers "A-Rod"? And he embraces that nickname? Kinda suprising considering that nik is taken, and it's also tainted because the guy who took it first wound up being a juicer.

I dunno. I think Bears, Vikings and Lions fans have a pretty easy time hating the Fudge Packers.

I'm talking (well, writing I guess) about the ability to say (write) that your team lost to the team that won it all. That sometimes eases the pain of losing. Anything we can do to mitigate that pain helps.

Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it, being a passionate sports fan. Think about it: if your team wins four titles in your lifetime, that's pretty good. That's top 5%. Most fans won't see their favorite team in a particular sport win that many titles in their life. So assuming an age of cognizance of about 7, and the average life expectancy of an American male at about 75, that means that 4 championships in a 68 year span puts you in the top 5% of happiness.

That fucking blows, doesn't it? 4 good years, 64 bad years. It's not worth the pain. We should just take up hobbies. Train sets are fun.

Nah, fuck that, it's always about the team that caused me pain getting it back, was quite chuffed when Suarez volleyball'ed Uruguay pass
    Ghana for instance shifty

Been a Yankee fan since 95 (first year I knew what I was watching) 16 years, 5 rings, that's an amazing return. None for the Knicks (1 finals app.) Jets, or Red Bulls (1 final app.) though.
