London 2012 Olympics: Ticket Ballot

For those who applied, you should now have a chunk missing out of your bank account if you were successful.

Some who were dumb enough to apply for tens of thousands of pounds worth of tickets are now complaining that they have to pay for them. Meanwhile, 250,000 people got fuck all.

Did anyone on here apply? Were you successful/unsuccessful? Do you think the way the ballot has been done was fair?

nope but you can get football tickets nearer to the time anyway as they wont sell out at old trafford for some matches. so i might just buy some tickets for that
but anyway i didnt apply because i cant be arsed going down to london

We applied for £12,000's worth, think we've only got £1650.

1 morning of Athletics
Mens football quarters
Mens football semis
Mens indoor volleyball 3rd place match
Mens handball quarters

I applied for over £12,000 of tickets on two accounts and also applied last Friday for the second ticket ballot on accounts that got no tickets first time round.

I got the Semi Final for Football at OT , couldn't give a shit about anything else.

The final isn't at Old Trafford, it's at Wembley.

3rd - Handball 17:00 - 21:00
4th - Football 14:30 - 18:30 (Wembley QF)
5th - Athletics 18:50 - 21:55
6th - Athletics 10:00 - 12:20
6th - Volleyball 14:45 - 18:15
7th - Football 17:00 - 19:00 (Wembley SF)
12th - Volleyball 10:00 - 13:00
