That's what I thought tbh. He's a fantastic player.

People are using the excuse of "he was only good against Milan" too much. It's almost becoming a cliche.

I rate him tbh.

I especially like how everyone has forgotten about his games before Inter.

He's not average, he's a very good player. He probably is a bit over hyped by the media though.

tbh he was brilliant up until his injury, and hes only recently come back and people seem to forget everything he did in 2010 outside of the inter match

Ohhhhhh burn.

He has been great this season and part of last but has struggled with a few injuries that has not helped him lately,and his performances might have not been as good as they have been cause of this. But when he gets back to full fitness he will prove again IMO that he is absolute top class.

Absolute top class my feckin arse. To be top class you need to have more to your game, Bale is far too limited right now to be top class.

Although I think he'd be much better as an attacking fullback than a winger with more space to drive into from deep.

Good player but over rated because of his games against Inter. Still think he will become a top class player though.

I wonder if Valencia did the same against Milan and was British.. What would happen...

Bale is a great winger, very good player but his season on a whole has been MASSIVELY overrated.

Good player, nothing more. Not as good as people made out. Had a blinding game against Inter, but Traore had a blinding game in the Champions League Final. These things happen.

Admittedly i was one of those who overated him after his performance against Inter.

But you have to remember that he is only 21, and the best is yet to come.

Maybe a little inconsistent? Tore Inter Milan, and in particular Maicon, to pieces twice, but was shut out of entire games by Rafael and Phil Neville...

And the way he's ahead of a certain Portuguese winger for PFA Player of the Year is a joke.

In fairness Luis Boa Morte hasn't really done much this season.

I rate him, good player.
But he is overrated as hell. People seem to think he is good enough for the top clubs or something?

He's a great player, but nowhere near player of the season.

He's become one of those players who everyone says is overrated now.

I think besides Messi and Ronaldo he is the best winger on Earth. But I am clearly biased...so be it.
