    Estonian Top Division Thread 140px-Meistriliiga
    Meistriliiga is the highest division of the Estonian Football Association annual football championship. The league was founded in 1991 and the current, 2010 is the league's 20th season. As of 2009[update] it is not fully professional; only six teams are professionals, and the other four teams are semi-professional.

    Currently the only team that still exist today and won the league are Flora Tallinn (8 times) and Levadia Tallinn (7 times). Frequently these two team's reserve squads win the 2nd division although they are ineligable for promotion.

    So far this year after 4 games;
    Right now four teams are tied at the top with a record of 2-2-0 the various tiebreakers is this league cannot really be applied until these teams play each when we get head to head results.

    Flora Tallinn did well this year. I was impressed with the player Zacharia Beglarishvil. He got 6 goals in 22 appearences for the mighty Estonian club from the Midfirled position.

    I like the look of the city Tallinn, and would love to visit, so it's nice to see both clubs do well.

    It has been quite a long time since I have updated this thread but with the end of the season coming soon it would be a good time to look at what is going on. With three rounds to go here is the top part of the table. I am using the common standard here w-d-l GF, GA, GD, PTS.

    Flora Tallinn 23-7-2 89 20 +69 76 pts

    Nõmme Kalju 22-7-4 71 21 +50 73 pts

    Narva Trans 22-6-5 104 23 +81 72 pts

    I think he would be a great signing for any Eastern European team or maybe a part of a larger club's reserves. He was the guy who scored 46 goals in the 2011 season.

    Well Rudnevs scored like crazy in both Latvia and Hungary and he has proven that he is a quality striker vs Manchester City, Juventus and co.

    Yes I try to keep track of this league and I was annoyed that English Wikipedia did not have an article for the Esiliiga for this season. I see Flora II finished 5th which seems to be a rough year for them. I remember when Levadia II and Flora II finished 1st and 2nd and the horrid 3rd place team was promoted.
