    How is Chrome now?

I have been using the BETA version all along, so I can't give you a proper answer when it comes to the stable version. The BETA version has a couple of bugs or freezes here and there (especially with Flash), but I suspect the stable version doesn't have these problems (or at least not as frequent).

Overall I would rank Chrome at the top of the list of browsers. The main features include:

    1) Clean and minimalist design: More space for viewing webpages rather than having several toolbars.
    2) Speed: Statistically, it's the fastest browser out there. Not only is it fast at loading pages and rendering images, it's also the fastest browser (from my experience) at starting up.

I use Firefox and Safari from time to time and whenever they update their browser, I can see blatant attempts to adapt new features originally found in Chrome (especially when it comes to Safari). But don't get me wrong, I don't mind other browsers copying or gaining ideas from Chrome. It just puts more competitive pressure on Chrome to deliver an even better browsing experience than it already has.

    Tip: Just the text, please!
    Wednesday, September 15, 2010 | 1:00 PM

Has this ever happened to you? You're writing an email online and you try to copy some text from a webpage. But when you paste it in, you get all the original fonts, colors, and spacing. "Wait!" you say, "I just wanted the text!"

This happened to us so many times while building Google Chrome that we added a special shortcut to do just that. Alongside the common Ctrl-V keyboard shortcut for "paste", Google Chrome supports a similar shortcut, Ctrl-Shift-V, for "paste as plain text". (And it’s Command-Shift-Option-V on a Mac.)

    Google Chrome Thread Shortcuts

You can use this shortcut in any rich text editor (like Gmail's compose window, or when writing in Google Docs) to strip out all the presentation from the original source and just paste in a block of text.

I used Chrome and absolutely love it.

Went back to IE, was so low compared to Chrome.

Sexy logo, I use Firefox though, not because I don't like Chrome, never really used it to be honest, might give it a gander later though.

Chrome is awesome. It can do all this stuff that IE could mainly do but never told me about! Plus the logo looks like a Pokéball, what more could you want?

I've used internet explorer for 3 years running now and... Shock horror, no viruses.

Guess I should use firefox though because it's 'faster' scratch

Once I started using Firefox, I never went back to Internet Explorer unless I had no other choice. I can't stand Internet Explorer. Once you try another fruit, you won't want to go back to IE. And it's not just about security or speed (although those are good factors to consider). Chrome has a better UI and clean look.

I would only use Chrome or Firefox for the add-ons but then which ones would I really need to use?
