The race for the Golden Boot is now well and truly underway. Who will win the prestigious award this year? Please cast your votes, get this correct and I will acredit you as a member I value with good football knowledge. There is lots to play for.

Well, here are the current standings as we speak....

    1Dimitar BerbatovMan Utd19

    9Florent MaloudaChelsea9
    The Golden Boot 2010/2011 Plnewspacer
    10Samir NasriArsenal9
As we can see, Dimitar Berbatov sits relatively comfortably at the top of the tree as things stand with a spectacular 19 goals in 19 games.

Their is still plenty of time for change however, and a few cheap Carlos Tevez penaltys could see him creep up behind the Bulgarian.

So go ahead.... cast your votes and I will keep updating the table as time goes by Smile

Dimitar Berbatov picks up the "first to 10 goals" landmark trophy:

Berbatov is a definite contender if he keeps playing as he is.

Tevez is also a good shout for the win too.

I think Tevez might just pip Berba to it, it will be by a single goal though.

True. Rooney had the all-around game going this time last year. He was bangin in goals and whores left and right. Berb, as far as we can tell, is just bangin the goals. pirat

Berba has played really well.. but for me at times Rooney was carrying us, was all over the place, was brilliant.

He was, on the pitch. Was just the opposite with his whore though. Just kinda laid there, apparently. Hard to imagine.

Joking aside though, it's spooky to think what Man Utd could have accomplished if he hadn't fucked his ankle.

Oh noes. Liam will have to think up some more mindless shite to respond to my not only gripping, but compelling argument about how Dimitar Berbatov is shite.

So with half a season to go, if Berbatov got half his tally from last season, so 6, that would give him a total of 25 goals by the end of the season. That should be enough to see him win it in my opinion. Razz

I must also enforce that it is known that Berbatov was not useless whatosever last year, he was vital in our efforts, what was it? 12 goals, 14 assists, 10 assists of assists, that is phenomenol, better than Torres who will get an unbalanced record of 15 goals, 1 assist, that shows inconsistency and selfishness.

The only way Berbatov can possibly fail to win the trophy, is if Tevez gets his normal bundle of penalty goals, they're the only reason he can challenge Berbatov in the first place at this moment Very Happy
