Will Liverpool win the the league next season ?

Can't think of a reason why they can't do it. They showed the depth and quality of the squad against wolves to go all the way next time.

There are 5 teams who have a better squad than liverpool and have better chance at winning the title. I don't see them winning anything.

Who are those five teams? I beg to differ, we've got a quality squad that has just been underperforming all season due to Roy's tactics and mentality not entirely because of the players.

At maximum there are 5 better.

More depth and speed in the midfield, especially on the wings.

Really floats my boat, but the thing they lack is a proper striker.. Defoe is good but I don't like him with a supporting player behind him, he needs a bigger partner I think, if Spurs had Torres I'd kill myself.

Yeah I agree. But not in every area. I don't see them as a miles better team as you said before.

van der Vaart is better than any midfielder on Liverpool's squad at the moment.

Like I said, "at the moment".

That's more of a praise of VDV (at the moment) than it is an indictment of Liverpool's midfield.

You still have a valid point. Bar Gerrard Tottenhams midfield is better, both out wide and centrally.

I would move on to strikers and Torres is better than anyone Spurs have but again, thats it... Every other striker kicks our arse. Same goes for defence(Agger) but that's debatable.

Tottenham's midfield is better than Liverpool's at the moment. Striker wise, it's just no where near as close (due solely to Torres, of course). In defense, I think Liverpool is better, but Tottenham is generally performing better at the moment. That said, I think man for man, Liverpool's defense is better.

And in goal, Liverpool is better, but Gomes is a perfect fit for the Premier League anyways.

Yes. They will win the Championship.

Definitely outclass us in midfield but up front we are better and in defense we are better, starting 11 that is.

Make of that what you will but thats just what I think, I feel Gerrard brings more to the team than VdV, VdV is great, I just feel Gerrard is better and more valuable to the team.

All this crap about Johnson not being able to defend is exactly that, crap, he can defend its just that when he makes a mistake people seem to spotlight it and tear him to pieces about it. Skrtel has been horrible but nobody seems to give a crap, if he couldn't defend he wouldn't be a right back, he would be a midfielder or winger, hes not the best but hes not horrible.

Raul has the ability and showed it against Wolves but thats one of the few times hes shined out from the rest, usually he does better when Gerrard isn't playing because he is given a bigger role, but he does have the ability just hasn't shown it enough yet.

So all in all, or team is better/on par with theres and right now the team is playing much better under Kenny, lets just see how it unfolds but they aren't clear cut better than us.

Out of them two teams I'd prefer Spurs', but they need a new striker in my opinion.

Im a Arsenal fan but Spurs' squad shits all over Liverpools. I highly doubt they will challenge for the league unless they go on a spending spree in the transfer window.

I find it hilarious that after 1 game (against Wolves aswell) people are saying they can win the league.
