Because Roy Hodgson managed 20 Premier League matches and we only reached that tally on the 10th of January.  I can only assume that you were either too busy or decided to leave such basic comparisons to the derided "comic geniuses," as you put it.

In all honesty I haven't really paid attention to Liverpool's results since we beat you, being 4 points better off than Hodgson's team after 20 games when he's had 2 and a half years to build his own team is nothing to be proud of though, especially considering Hodgson's far superior European record.

I don't disagree with that entirely.  I was just wondering why someone as self-satisfied as you could bring yourself down to this level.

The last bit is a bit funny when you consider you were trying to score points by saying "why hasn't anyone updated etc." when you are three points better off than you were under Moyes.  Whoop dee doo.

As I have told you, Louis Van Gaal is undoing the damage of four years of incompetent, self interested and senile mismanagement. He was also very busy over summer so he had less time to get to know his players and control transfers. Brendan is working with a team full of players who he had input on the signing of, he has had years to coach the majority of them and years to get rid of anybody who he didn't fancy. An unproven manager doing worse than Hodgson - a really shit manager who did a really bad job - is a lot more worthy of discussion than a proven success struggling a bit when he's come in as a firefighter. That's just what happens with United though, we are always the main story, everything is amplified tenfold with us

It does when you're this happy about being 3 points better off than Moyes Laughing

I already explained why van Gaal and United are creamed over, it's because United fans have become deluded. Can't believe a season and a half of shitness has brought your fanbase down to RAWK level.

I've yet to see van Gaal put in a tactical performance as good as Wenger's yesterday.

What do you mean by "this happy" ?  I'm not happy about where we are, I just understand that it's not down to Van Gaal and I still firmly believe that he's the right man for the job.

Van Gaal is creamed over, as you put it, by the media at large when he does great things.  It's not because of United fans, it's because he is a great manager with a charismatic personality in charge of one of the biggest clubs in the world and by far the biggest in the country.

I didn't even watch the game yesterday, but what about when he went to the Emirates with McNair, Blackett and Smalling as his only defenders, deployed a formation to compensate for those weaknesses and beat Wenger comfortably?  He didn't come out after than win and say it was a fluke, because it wasn't, he came out and explained how he bested Wenger and our friend Monreal.

The media are practically all United fans so it's no surprise they are as equally deluded.

That Arsenal-United game was the very definition of a fluke, watch yesterdays game you'll see why.

Utter nonsense. The only prominent United fans in the media are Gary and Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Clive Tyldesley. By contrast there are loads of fans of clubs who dislike United - Thompson, Carragher, Owen, Hargreaves, Evans, Barrett, Nicholas, all of these are declared fans of Liverpool or Arsenal and all hold powerful media positions. Even of the United fans the majority of the class of 1992 are very bitter and twisted over getting overlooked post Moyes and critical of Louis.

Everyone excited for Everton v West Brom?  I read that Samuel Eto'o already wants to leave Everton which he said  he joined to try to win the Europa League since he never done that yet.

I can never understand why Mark Clattenburg gets assigned to any Chelsea matches, let alone big ones, after what happened in 2012.  Either he racially abused one of their players a monkey or they tried to destroy his career by telling lies about him because they were pissed off with his decisions, either way there's a huge conflict there.

Chelsea are tremendously boring. No shots on target in the 2nd half is just laughable, and to bring on Cahill to play as a CM/ 4th CB is criminal.

Another terrible match between the two.  The "title decider" between Liverpool and City last season was superb, it is just a shame that not every club subscribes to our philosophy. Rolling Eyes

I think the best part of that goal was the way that Giroud nearly lost the ball under no pressure at the every end.

Signings like him are what happens when you appoint your chief scout on the basis of whose cunt he slipped out of.

"Alex, he's better than Rooney" - Martin Ferguson on Anderson.

In the end it also turned out that Darren Ferguson wasn't the best footballer despite his Premier League title winning medal with United, nor was he the best person to loan players to, Jason Ferguson probably wasn't the best agent for the club to be doing business with and his mate David Gill's son wasn't the best footballer in the world either. Appoint his mate to the United job because he has a Scottish emigrant's personality didn't work out too well either. The way Ferguson operated at United was a disgrace.
