Rick Rypien, a hockey player from the Vancouver Canucks committed suicide last year, after long spells of depression. A memorial was put up in his honour outside of Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Fans often write messages to Rick, in his honour or even telling of their own struggles with depression. After a recent Justin Bieber concert, Bieber fans decided it would be a good idea to write "JUSTIN BIEBER <3" all over this memorial. Examples:
As you can see, one smart pre-teen thought it would be a wonderful idea to even put her name on it. She has since deleted her twitter account because she has been sent countless messages by angry Canuck fans. Not sure if you've seen that riot in Vancouver a couple years ago, but yeah... Those were Canuck fans. Some people are saying these teens may have been oblivious that the giant stone with flowers, pictures, and the words "RIP Rick" all over it were a memorial to a dead man... Frankly, if they did they were still incredibly stupid.
