Fahad Khalfan played for the first time for the Qatar national team in a friendly game against Bahrain[1] on September 3, 2010. Khalfan produced one of the greatest misses in competetive football, the missed chance meant his team failed to proceed to the quarter final's of the Asian Games in november 2010.
In a friendly match against Uzbekistan Khalfan failed to score, after he rounded the keeper he was left with an open goal. He tried to shoot with the outside of his left foot and hit the post.
