Gomes thought he had a fk because Nani blatantly dived and handballed in his area, the whistle was blown to stop the game so obviously it must have been a fk. So he put the ball down to take it then Nani kicked it into his net. Then the linesman said it was illegal but Rio Ferdinand shouted in the refs face til he gave it as a goal.

Its a perfect goal. Gomes collected the ball... there was no goal kick or free kick. if it was a goal kick he needs to keep it on the 6 yard line. i bet Gomes thought it was a free kick for handball or something/..

Apparently everyone thought it was a free kick for Tottenham. Gomes rolled the ball on the ground for the free kick and Nani was the first one of the two to react to the fact that it wasn't a free kick.

It was kind of odd to see.

Nani actually asked the linesman there whether he can play and Gomes freakin got his hands to the ball, not cleanly though.

Nani dived on the floor for no reason, made a handball in keepers area = Free kick.

Lennon yes, Evra didn't have anything to do, wasn't in the game at all. Only reason Bale wasn't in the game was because Rafael had a great game, and then he disappeared when Brown came on.

Lets just say penalty from the "spot" was not given because Gomes had another spot on his mind.

Okay, in my opinion Kaboul(I think it was him) pulled Nani back even though he went down afterwards, he stopped Nani from getting to the ball properly, so Nani knew he had to go down, it's a shame but that's the only way refs give penalties these days..

But from the goal, it was a clear handball from Nani if it wasn't a penalty, but as far as I'm concerned it wasn't an actual freekick given, Gomes moved 10 yards forward from where the handball was.. and he put it on the floor, Nani scored..

I think it's poor from the ref's but imo we should have had a penalty and Nani just took advantage.
