Artists which support a bill which would destroy the internet in the US as we know it.

Just about the most legitimate hacking threat in the world.
They already took down Sony once.

They are after Taylor Swift? Now, I'm angry!!
I would take Anonymous seriously though. Those people don't fuck around and they have done stuff before.

I take them seriously, although they said they were going to bring Facebook down in November. It never happened.

No, they do fuck around, extremely often. Problem with a group like that is that any internet spastic can do a video like that, and 99% of the time they just fade into obscurity.

Exactly, it's hard to take them seriously when they're just a bunch of neckbeard virgins living in basements.

They attacked it via pornographic and indecent images, look it up.

Obviously the BBC must be lying when they say that a 'source' told them it wasn't Anonymous.

For the SOPA act its not helping anything. What will help is Google, Facebook and Twitter (others may follow) shutting down operations to raise awareness as it could hurt countless of their customers and users. US Congress is as far from reality as any government organization can be.
This, this won't do anything good.

It's more about trying to send a warning to the supporters of SOPA to withdraw their support or be taken down. Without support congress won't see what's so good without it and hopefully back down.

Yeah, as long as you partake in some sort of hacktivism anonymously is part of Anonymous, so any spastic can just join without a problem.
Anonymous is a serious organization though, when they do shit seriously, they do it right, and with success.
