Anyone tried using their SONY Laptop to type on PS3?

I was thinking about getting a keyboard that can be attacked to your PS3 controller as an easier way to type on PS3.. but I just heard that some SONY Vaio laptops can be connected to your PS3 via Bluetooth and used as the keyboard..

anyone tried this?

Nope, but I do sometimes use a USB keyboard to type on the PS3.

Any old keyboard can be used once it has USB connection?

A while ago but I didn't understand how it worked either I have one of those little keyboards you attach to your controller though, they're pretty useful.

Takes a little bit of getting used to but not really. They do have to be attached though.

On 360 any USB keyboard can be used, I imagine on PS3 it would be the same.

Not sure what you mean. I just use a USB keyboard plugged right into the PS3.

Been trying to connect my Laptop to PS3 to use the keyboard... but the remote keyboard thing wont open on my laptop

Final questions Robyn, is it heavy when connected to the controller.. and would you recommend it?

Not really and depends how much you use chat. Normally what I do is take the keyboard off if I need to concentrate on a game but it's no hassle, quite simple to put on/take off
