Skrtel's not really that strong a player is he? I mean, we're judging this on their performances on the pitch, you would back Vidic to win a head to head for the ball against anyone when it comes to strength, even someone like Drogba, but Skrtel's not really that sort of player. He's Eastern European, slow and he has a crew cut so there seems to be this assumption that he's somehow harder than most normal players, but he's not even a really dominant player in the Liverpool team when it comes to strength. Dimitar Berbatov made a complete fool out of him just over a year ago, winning headers everywhere, dominating the game, he would never have been able to do that against Nemanja Vidic.

Vidic is just a good defender.

Torres got the better of Vidic once in about 10 appearances after Vidic slipped, it happens, he wasn't constantly outmuscling him, beating him to headers, the only guy he ever beat to a header to score against us was Gary Neville.
