It switched from survival horrer to more of an action shooter but the change in camera angle, graphics, the over the shoulder perspective etc. were really new to gaming at the time. The story was OK but RE has never really been about story, it's cheesy as hell.

Yeah I know but they are the 'Resident Evil Zombies' My idea of Zombies don't look mutated, I'm more into the walking dead style. The game looks brilliant but as a Zombie game -which I thought it was- it's sub par IMO.

Looks pretty cool. Have to get some actual info on it though before I consider buying it.

There is a suggestion that the Last of Us world was caused by some sort of fungal ant virus.
Anyway, I love all types of zombies....
The only problem with slow zombies (such as The Walking Dead zombies) is that there's nothing to fear simply because you can out run them. If see one just 20m down the road, it's no problem...

The fears comes from them never giving up, never stopping to follow you wherever you go, never fatiguing.

Re: The Last of Us
If we are talking about George Romero zombies. You underestimate the fear of knowing even a tiny bite is going to mean you're dead in a few hours.
And before you say, "I'll just shoot them from afar." Do you know where you could easily access a firearm and copious amounts of ammunition. Assuming you don't already own one.
Not to mention being outnumbered and figuring out what you are going to eat for lunch that day isn't as easy as walking into your local grocery store anymore.

You're right.
I love the slow zombies as well i'm just saying the one's like in the trailer would be a lot scarier.
I love all zombies.

Re: The Last of Us
I'm a big zombie fan. It's a bit irritating that everything seems to be trying to cash in on zombies right now and worst of all doing poorly at it.(not economically speaking, they are cashing in)
Too much Zombie media is focused on the actual zombies, and destroying them, when in my opinion Zombie media should be more about the humans having to deal with this massive catastrophe.
It's what I like about the Walking Dead.
That doesn't mean I'm completely averse to the idea of zombie smashing. Do like games like Resident Evil and I made a game with Zombies in it.

You are awesome.
However...this is not. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1588173/ It's twilight with Zombies.
