Hopefully Gerrard will be back soon and we'll have a choice of Gerrard, Adam, Henderson and Spearing. Not too bad. Lucas is still a massive blow though. Could well affect our chances of getting 4th place.

You can not seriously be suggesting Spearing has the quality to cover for Lucas? I watched the game last night and the guy was struggling recieving and finding passes. you'd be better off dropping Carroll down there, his technique might be poor, but at least he can pass....

The worst thing about this is, Lucas' momentum will be destroyed. 6 months out is a long time.

Shut up, I never said he had the quality to cover for him, you've watched him for one game, while me and other Liverpool fans have watched him for basically his whole first team career. He had a run of a few games last season, and he looked fine. I didn't see the game yesterday so I can't really comment on how he did. And if you look at the second part of my post.. I said that I can't really think of any good holding midfielders, so spearing was my only answer, I'm sure there are better people who we could buy, and as for your comment about Carroll playing there, you're an idiot if you rate Carrolls passing over spearing based on one game..

Spearing is a good squad player. Comes in when players are injured, and always gives 100%.

He will never be a starter for Liverpool.
