I agree, but that's still not stealing. Many artists sample songs in the Hip-Hop and Rap industry.

If Lupe had stole whatever song, he'd have been sued.

Thousands of artists sample music. Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train was sampled by a rock group and a rap artist.

Most producers and bands do give permission for the tune to be sampled and they'll own a certain percentage in the song.

"Float On" is a famous song, so pretty much everyone recognized it instantly. And how did you know that he didn't get permission from Modest Mouse to sample the song? Like was said previously, he would have been sued if he didn't get permission. You need to know the difference between sampling and stealing.

They gave the producer of the "The Show Goes On" permission to sample it. Lupe Fiasco wasn't the one that produced the song or the one that initially chose to sample it.
