But once Carroll gets in the box (Knock down ect ...), he has no support. And it is a wasted attack.

Carroll and Suarez like to play deeper. Link up play. Both don't be in the box.

Is it assumed that we'll buy people in January?

IMO, it doesn't matter who we buy. We'll always be cursed.
I think we sold our soul to the devil to win the CL and FA Cup. After that, the devil has been taking what he's owed.

I hope so.
Be interesting to see who will be leaving.
If the rumors are true, that Maxi is looking for a new club. That must mean we are after an other winger?

Your defence is leaky when Agger isn't playing, the midfield has no creativity, the wingers hardly create (mainly Clowning)
Again, you're looking too much into it, I'm just gunna' put your argument to bed now...
Defence shaky? It may 'look' shaky. But as someone said, there's only 1 team currently in the Premier League who've conceded 'less' goals and that's Newcastle. Kind of puts your argument to bed doesn't it?
No creativity? We've created the 'most' chances in the Premier League this season, some thing like 120 chances, Man Utd 2nd with 110 or something like that. But have the worst conversion rate (ties in with what I said about a striker), so again, kind of puts your argument to bed doesn't it?
Fuck me that's 2 in the bed now Filippo.

You don't have to concede a truckload of goals to be shaking defensively. When United go 1 - 0 up they keep it that way .. why? because they know how to attack but at the same time keep it tight at the back and don't over commit when the momentum is going their way.Dean wrote:Filippo Inzaghi wrote:1 player away from a title challenge Jesus Christ

Again stats are misleading when Adam isn't doing his hollywood passes Liverpool struggle to keep the ball in the middle and create.

I wonder how many assists Clowning has over the last 5 years would be very interesting to know I very much doubt his ratio is nowhere near players like Fabregas and others. Point is the chances Liverpool have 'created' are not greatly crafted chances they are hit in hopes.

I don't give a fuck how shaky we look defensively... if you're not conceding goals, then well... you're not conceding goals, that's all that matters surely?

Thats always been our problem, we always score 1 goal and expect to win but always concede late, its fucking annoying
I think if we can get an out and out striker who scores goals in January, we can make a strong push for 4th.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Filippo, you've got half a case with the conceding when we're 1 up etc... but look, our problem at the moment is not conceding goals, it's our taking of chances that's the problem, we're missing too many. You know... I see many people criticising Downing, but what does he do in the first 5 minutes of the game yesterday? Put's one right on Andy Carroll's foot and un-surprisingly Carroll had his fucking clown shoes on once again and missed it.
That one little moment of play...pretty much summed up our season so far.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Point is you don't have to concede loads in a game to have a shaky defence, Liverpool have dropped 6 points from winning positions against United, Norwich and Sunderland surely the defence has to take some responsibility? The team over committing even when 1 - 0 up is just as much as a problem as the lack of a good finisher up top is.Aguerotelli wrote:Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Problem is Liverpool are conceding goals ... but its when they are 1 - 0 up....

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
The Sunderland and United games, we missed at least 5 chances to score in each. If we converted half the chances the score still would be like 3-1. Defense could be better, but it wouldn't matter if we converted like half the chances we created. Can't comment on the Norwich game because I missed it.Filippo Inzaghi wrote:Point is you don't have to concede loads in a game to have a shaky defence, Liverpool have dropped 6 points from winning positions against United, Norwich and Sunderland surely the defence has to take some responsibility? The trouble is whenever he plays as the lone striker, he ends up isolated.

Dean, do you still honestly believe Suarez is the best forward in the world after Messi and Ronaldo? Serious question.

Honestly believe? Fucking right I believe he is, there's no honestly about it. He just needs to work on his finishing, Ste, he's a special special player and that's why Barcelona want him mate. But it's not just his ability with the ball that sets him apart from most players, it's the whole package... his work-rate, his mentality, attitude, his health. He's a diamond in amongst a bunch of stones at Liverpool put it that way and I wouldn't blame him one bit if he did move on to Barcelona soon.
