How is my post pessimistic? It's a fair assessment of what could happen. Is it pessimistic to not want your goalkeeper to perform tricks in front of an approaching forward?

He has done it about 3 or 4 times now hasn't he?
I fully expect out of the next 2 times he does it he will get caught out.

Szczesny's been doing to for a long time now and even when they do try and anticipate it Tech9 always seems to get out of the way, did you ever stop and think maybe he's that good? People are wise to Messi's act of dribbling past you, does that mean they can stop him?

He's a goalkeeper, it's an unnecessary piece of skill he's attempting. I don't care how good or effective it is most of the time, there's always a big, unnecessary risk element involved when he attempts it. I don't think me wanting my goalkeeper to boot the ball up the pitch instead of attempting a piece of skill makes me pessimistic, I think it just shows I'm very cautious about giving away cheap goals, our defence already do this on a regular basis.
