Berbatov had a similar record at the beginning of last season, that doesn't make him better than Tevez. Tevez, at his best, was single-handedly dragging an almost brand new Manchester City side that hadn't gelled yet. Also, I don't see why suggesting Tevez is better than van Persie is so ridiculous but suggesting Rooney isn't when the former clearly has the better scoring record in what was an inferior team last season.
